vintage ootd: irish tradition meets african print

In the spirit of St. Patrick’s day, I opted for a vintage favorite of mine: This beautiful kelly green maxi skirt I bought at Goodwill for just $3.

For some fun, I added this colorful, bold beaded African print top – funny story: the top actually used to be part of a vintage dress.  Black, tubular midi dress, with this as an overlay connected to the top.  I wasn’t too keen on the shape of the dress on me, but I fell in love with the beads and vibrant print of the top overlay…So, insert seam rippers, and ouila! Amazing crop top.

It was a bit damp and chilly out, so I layered with a black sweater and wore with some Nine West boots.  I felt the outfit needed something feminine to soften all the bright prints - I chose this great beaded collar ($14.00 from New Old Fashion Vintage on Etsy) and a gold cuff I bought for $1 at America’s Thrift store!

Total outfit cost: Approx $29!
